“Our first experience of the Hospital was quite an eye opener. False Bay hospital is so different in so many ways to the hospitals in Switzerland.

We are 4 medical students from the University of Geneva and we have come to South Africa to complete a Community Immersion Project.

Yesterday was awesome. We had these pro's make it out to the back, catch green waves and ride them all the way to shore.

So proud to share this Journey of introducing the incredible Resurf project to South Africa with Gap Year South Africa and the Surf Emporium Muizenberg.
It's amazing to watch this video and see how far the children have come since the very first days. From being terrified of the water to having grown immensely in confidence and capability. (They now Rock at surfing by the way!!) We are so grateful to Resurf for blessing the program and the children with the full kit - surfboards and wetsuits and investing into the foundations of this innitiative. Gap Year South Africa and the volunteers work every Wednesday to keep progressing with the children and eventually expanding the to reach more people and give more opportunity for children to experience the stoke of Surfing.
