We always recommend a dorm, this way you really get to experience hostel life and get to know all your new friends!

Currently on a UK passport, you will be granted a 90 day upon arrival, as long as you have proof of onward travel. It is however, up to you to make sure that you have contacted your local South African embassy to make sure you have the correct details.

How much spending money would you recommend bringing?

South Africa is pretty cheap compared to home, plus you get a lot more ZAR’s for your pounds. It really depends on how much you plan on shopping and partying, but we recommend between £ 100 and £150 per week, £ 200 – £250 is more than enough, but remember, you could get by with less.

How much will I need for food and drinks on Django Travel: This is Cape Town ?

Your average dinner can cost anything from £5 – £9, also depending on where you eat, a fancy meal is a bit more, but you could have a delicious steak for around £13. Drinks are quite reasonable too. A pint of beer starts at around £2.5, cocktails from about £4.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we always insist on all our customers having travel insurance. Travel insurance is important no matter where you go in the world.

What happens after my week with Django Travel?

Well that’s entirely up to you. We can assist with booking any extra accommodation or transfers you may need or even help you plan a cool road trip. If volunteering is your thing, ask about our other cool programmes. We can offer advice and help you book any other awesome tours too.

I’ve never stayed in a dorm before, what should I expect?
